THE CLIENT :
MapLabs services are used by both small businesses and large globally recognized chains and agencies to protect, manage and optimize their online presence.
THE VISION :
The company was spending hundreds of man-hours gathering, organizing and analyzing data from Google and other sources to provide the results desired by its clients but this was not sustainable.
At the same time, the company had a vision of pivoting from a fully managed service to a DIY software provider to allow itself to grow and serve a larger client base at a reduced cost.
THE CHALLENGE :
Accomplishing this posed tremendous challenges, from building a scalable distributed application capable of handling the load, to managing dozens of 3rd-party API’s with a myriad of variations and incomplete data.
Security and compliance were paramount in this project as any deviation from good practices could result in dramatic negative effects for the businesses
